What is Urgent Care?

At WAG Vet, our Urgent Care service bridges the gap between your regular vet and a 24-hour emergency hospital. We treat non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries that can’t wait until tomorrow.

Not sure if it’s urgent? Trust your instincts and give us a shout. We’re here to help you figure out if your pet needs quick care—and to guide you every step of the way. Even if it’s a false alarm, we’d always rather you play it safe when it comes to your furry family.

There are some pretty clear signs your pet needs immediate attention. Here’s what to watch for:

Difficulty breathing
Uncontrolled bleeding
Sudden collapse or disorientation
Persistent vomiting or diarrhea
Ingestion of toxins or foreign objects
Seizures
Traumatic injuries

Urgent vet care also covers situations that aren’t life-threatening but still need prompt attention. If your pet isn’t acting like themselves, we want to see them.

No appointment? No problem!

During our urgent care hours, you can simply walk in, and we’ll take it from there. The most critical pets are seen first, then we see everyone else in the order they arrive — all with our calm, efficient check-in process to keep your visit smooth and stress-free. Be sure to bring any medical records or medications your pet is currently taking so we can provide the best care possible.

During our regular clinic hours, you can still count on us! Give us a call and let us know what’s going on. We’ll work you in if we can!
